Im planning to read EER again but forgot exact chap where i stop prev. I still remember the last scene tho, shortly after he deal with yamata no orochi, mc is back at his newly created weapon store (vanguard iirc, or maybe just mixed with other novel). Tried to look it up myself but chapters title in kobato isnt helping. I have an experience of blindly looking for chapters and ended up stressed and frustrated.
Anyone kind enough to point it? Just the range is fine

Just read from the beginning...I really love the beginning and middle. Ending was crap to me, so I enjoy rereading my fav parts.

Alright, I finished it.

I sat on the Gabriel vs Satan chapter for a couple months without wanting to continue reading, but I'm glad I did. The calm, straightforward ending worked really well with the story.

I was of the opinion that ICDS was better for for a good portion of the story, but this one wins out for me in the end. EER was more bland overall. I did enjoy the better parts of ICDS more than pretty much anything EER had to offer. But EER's handling of side characters, power creep, and the lack of ambitious plot twists made it more satisfying to me overall. It was a good read, thank you to Toika Chamber and KKS for bringing us this story.

 

After a good re-reading I still think Satan (Lucifer) is one of the best characters in the novel and feel the story losses out as a whole with him coming in at the end/side stories.

He would have probably gotten hella annoying though if he was around from the early chapters so thats probably why hes so badass and awesome being in only like 5 chapters with two being side stories. Maybe like 7 chapters.
