All I remember about this series is that the MCs master was considered some sort of evil cultivator. He was the leader of a group or sect and one of his buddies/generals betrayed him then went around vilifying him. On the brink of death, the evil cultivator escaped and hid in a cave where he trained the MC. I know this is all fairly generic but I'm hoping someone knows what this series is. I haven't used NU as well as I should have, putting things in the correct lists and updating which chapters I've actually read up to. I'm in trouble Nuffians and I made need a 12 step program to make this right.
Thanks for the try but no it's not this one. ??? I think this is it, I skimmed the first 13 chapters and while I haven't seen the monlogue from the Demon Lord about what happened to him, it does seem very familiar. Thank you.
