Ito Junji's style is more shocking/gross than it is scary. There's not really that feeling of dread like some other horror mangakas. Not that bad tbh, but now if you tell me you will re-enact what happens in his books ( we remember the squishy squish face right? ) to the victim, you might have something there.

well, first if you want to keep someone suffering you gotta give them "hope" they become useless once they are broken. so first got to make them love someone, let them have a happy life for a years so much that only death can pull them apart, then kidnap them, make sure the loved person is alive with no injuries or if possible make them your accomplice. and then for the tortured person, for tortures it has to maximize pain not damage, let them take a drug that makes them sensitive. record the love ones voices saying that they are "okay", "no one is hurting me", "don't worry i'll let us get out of here", "help will come for sure" and etc just make sure its a sign of being okay and saying encouraging words. then let the person listen to those words by calling her phone using the love one's phone with the recorded word, of course gag the person so the person can't reply. so when you torture don't keep torturing them go with the cycle of "relief" then "pain". The relief is "hope" basically the calls of the love one or a release in pain for a little while, also make sure they stay healthy for healthy screaming. then when torturing don't chop their limbs just tie them so much that they can't even move, its a part to keep them hoping, and don't do things instantly start a little bit slow and make it gradually increase, we don't want them suddenly blacking out. well this plan is for those who want someone to suffer long.

as for the ways of making them have pain:
Punching: its classic but it works
electrifying: the screams sounds nice
Raping: if you want an M slave/pig then use this
skinning tools and salt and stuff: skin them put salt, rubb em= pain
Bone breaking: its produces quite a good scream but has limited uses
Teeth!: forcefully pluck their tooth but same as bone breaking , it has limited uses.
Nails: also produces nice screams and same as above
Centipede: open a wound put it inside the wound, but quite risky cause a chance of killing the tortured victim
Branding(hot iron steel): produces nice screams and a nice a tattoo for the victim
choking/drowning: you wanna see nice faces this is a good way to go but don't take it too far or they might die

honestly, there isn't much good yuri novel on Syosetsu, and some of them are good but the author is MIA or is dropped.
