In terms of better story telling, not much improvement. However, the story does become more of a what is going to happen to the characters rather than what the characters are actually doing. The evolutions also start to go crazy right after the point you dropped.

Evolution... There's Terror Infinity, the MC (and team, to a lesser extent) slowly "upgrade" themselves becoming less and less human overtime. But that aspect is minor since their looks stays mostly the same.

If you consider combat strength though, they does shows significant increase to the point of being inhuman.
