Description

I was the youngest princess in the Imperial family. The powerless imperial family was engulfed in the flames of rebellion, and as an extra in the family, I was the first to be abandoned. As such, I lived not as the imperial princess Stella, but as the commoner Ethel for ten years. That was, until I came back to the imperial family that abandoned me.

“I need a replacement.”

So said my sister, the first princess of the empire.

“To be a substitute for my missing sister.”

“A tempting proposition, Your Highness. But I don’t want to.”

There is one perfect ending to this skit. I won’t forgive them. They strove to win the heart of the princess who had awakened her powers, but finally she abandoned them. With that ending, I will be happy.

the parents realize she's the real Ethel, and not a fake the sister picked up, since she speaks things only the 'real' younger princess would know. they start to beg for her forgiveness and try to keep her at the palace.

 

Any spoiler for further chapters? I want to drop it but still curious.
I thought MC will stay as fake and step by step get her revenge but no.
The more I read, the more I think the first princess' plan is too genius for the idiot her :')

Spoiler: random rant

The writing looks neat but feels so messy for me. Up to chapter 30, I'm still confused with the story purpose. There's a lot of character with interesting dilema like the emperor, the empress or the first princess, but they're only used as plain, inconsistent (the parents), evil canon fodders (the princess). The most basic premise for me is the 'usefullness' of the royal children... something to bind the past Princess Stella, the current Ethel, and the present Princess Stella, yet I'm not sure this is what the MC now thinking about as she already use her 'usefullness' as early as possible. The story feels more and more like a guilt-tripping novel with lovey dovey MLxMC and second evil ML doing whatever only the god author knows but this only up to 30 chapters only who know what will happen.

 

What exactly can she accomplish by pretending to be fake? Her objective wasn't for revenge but to protect herself and her adoptive family, the one who blackmail her to do their bidding by threatened her family wasn't only the First Princess but also Jason, and the moment it was known that she has adoptive commoner family, it would became her weakness, other nobles would also use it for their gain, that's why she want to hide their existence. We already had enough cowardice ML who succumb to the blackmailer cause they don't have enough power to protect their loved ones. MC knew damn well, to protect someone, she need power (hence why the first thing she did was to claim her identity as Princess Stella since being commoner Ethel would only make her vulnerable) and money (hence why she show off her power to win Jason bet). And The First Princess isn't really an idiot, though she isn't that smart, considering she even manipulate her parents, brother, the young Stella, and public opinion, at least it take skill too to be two faced and no one even aware of that.

MC didn't want anything to do with her family, her revenge was by 'abandoning' them. They said the opposite of love is not hate but indifference, even MC herself feel astounded that she isn't even feel the least bit touched seeing her family groveling at her feet.

 

i just finished read the last chapter and seriously that jason is annoying af, he tried to manipulated the ML too, i just wish MC destroy that evanders and imperial family
