Hrm, the "originating" is kinda difficult to pin down but I'll go with: Kartoffelsalat with Leberkäse Resteraunts all over Germany, don't know about the availability abroud. A good Kartoffelsalat (potatosalad) has a sweet-sour taste due to vinnegar and onions, add in the strong meaty taste of either Leberkäse or a Schnitzel and mustard and round it up with a nice Weizen... Rawon Originally from Surabaya in Indonesian province of East Java. It is a strong rich tasting traditional Indonesian beef black soup . The soup is made of ground mixture of garlic, shallot, keluak, ginger, candlenut, turmeric, red chili and salt sauteed with oil until it gets aromatic. The sauteed mixture is then poured into boiled beef stock with diced beef. Lemongrass, galangal, bay leaves, kaffir lime leaves and sugar are then added as seasonings. The special dark/black color of rawon comes from the keluak as the main spice which also gives the strong nutty flavor. The soup is usually garnished with green onion and fried shallot, and served with rice, together with baby bean sprouts, salted preserved egg, shrimp crackers and chili sauce on the side.

Is the food really tasty, or is it simply because restaurants add flavor enhancers(MSG) to the food to get you to like it? Most food like Mcdonalds have "Artifical Flavor" in their food.
But if you feel the artificial flavor, then it probably isnt tasty food. You can hate greasy food that is tasty, you can hate flavor enhanced food if its made of crap even if its tasty, But you can't hate tasty food itself. Its like saying that you hate to feel good... wait, I think I kind of get it! Are you a masochist?

Some people smoke a pack a day, yet can you say they enjoy smoking? After a certain point, it's the nicotine forcing them to continue smoking or go into withdrawl. If they suddenly remove nicotine from cigrattes, most smokers would just quit. Just like how most people wouldn't eat food unless they contain grease and fat. Admit it.You don't love the food, you just love the grease.
I love the taste, I hate the grease, and the consequences from eating it. Also, smoking is not tasty, they like the feeling not the taste of the smoke. To discribe something as tasty means you like the taste, you may hate its origin, its consequences, but you like its taste. Its like an atheist saying he hates god, by the very fact that he hates it, means he believes in it somehow.
