    all of those characters have a flaw or 2 that prevent me from ranking them as #1, except for gin who is the perfect character

    Where is that GAR archer? or Zasshu no Ou? or the kid that saying "people die if they get killed"?

    Afro is underappreciated still, it seems. I don't like any of these characters completely(Ed is a close 2nd). But I'll never get over how badass the Afro samirai is.
    Having a badass actor voicing him makes it a double bonus.:)

    In this poll Luffy.
    Araragi Koyomi is the best of all time.
    Combines the best of shounen and seinen anime protagonists.
    Satou Kazuma also gets an honorable mention.
