What happened to old grandma's daughter in the story and the 3rd son family (like the little boy and mother ) after he failed the exam and when the grandma came to live with them.
So far the daughter was married off and the son became more serious about studying. The exam is about to start and the son will probably be there.
I hate stupidly filial stories like this. So hateful. The grandpa watched his son be bullied almost to death if it wasn’t for MC, found out the woman who killed his previous wife was at his side all along, and basically sent him to die (by separating the family and giving them nothing but 2 silvers? The MC and the Dad forgave him all of that? What The Fuck is up with this novel. Definitely not reading now after that spoiler.
Right? From the beginning, he had always been kind and caring of her and her siblings. He's also not the stereotypical face-paralyzed and conveniently of higher status ML. I'm pretty sure he won't be someone like the ML who throws his weight on her (it's honestly so annoying). Eldest Sister, Why Haven’t You Married Yet But she doesn't have any golden finger, everything was reliant on their skills and perseverance. Her family separated too. After that, they relied on farming, selling food, and later on, lodging to survive. All of her businesses became very successful however, she's not overly powerful. Same for the ML. They might be wealthy but their status is pretty low because they are a merchant family. There's bit of angst between the ML and MC but everything ends well anyway. Their romance is also kind of subtle and isn't in your face. Also, the trashy family wouldn't be buzzing around them for quite a while before they reappear in passing and then they'll be dealt with permanently.
