Question FMOC like novel , recommend something to me

    I just watched the Love, Death & Robots episode Suits and I remembered how I loved FMOC and i want to read something like that , humanity is attacked and we need to defend our self. In Forty Millenniums of Cultivation in the beginning there are breaches that spawn randomly or like in Swallowed Star. If there is sci-fi novel like humanity expands in the universe and we meet with aliens or something and we need to defend against them and you know something like this I would love to read it :D I tried to search in the forum but maybe I'm bad at it , if you know something like this please help me :D Thank you!

    Not sure how much it fits your request, it's been awhile since I've read it, but maybe Skyfire Avenue. It's futuristic, mecha, has some kind of enemy since there are battle scenes.

    There are those 'sudden postapocalypse' ones, the ones where dungeons and/or wild monsters appear everywhere and those where Earth is suddenly put under major threat if not doom.

    Though the ones I can think of don't really feature mechas

    Thank you all , I like mecha but it's fine if it isn't , in FMOC I liked the idea of the breaches too not only the mecha :D I will check out everything you all said :D thanks :D
