Hate Upon Taste - Marzipan My mom always went on about how she enjoyed eating marzipan when she was young and lived in England. She said it was delicious and one day she brought some home from a market that happened to have some. Upon trying it, my taste buds immediately recoiled. I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth for a week and I cringe every time she eats it. Guess it’s a taste you have to have as a young kid to like. Thought I’d Hate - Thousand Year Old Egg The photos of the thousand year old eggs never look good but in they aren’t awful in real life. I’ve eaten it in rice porridge where it’s cut into small bits with meat and other things. I’m not a huge fan but I don’t hate it. What food did you hate upon taste? Did you try a food you thought you’d hate, but found it wasn’t as bad as you thought?
Eggplant... I have yet to have tastey eggplant... Other foods I can't consume, coffee, tomatoes(love em, still eat them despite the horrible heartburn and acid reflux), sauerkraut.... surströmming,(click the link and you'll know why) tofu(tasteless mush), many other things I can't remember right now.
tried some mexican food coworker made once had to stop myself from vomiting he was a good guy buy the food he made wasnt the most accommodating
So far in my whole life, the only thing I didnt like to eat was a vegetable that's called 'Okra'. Pretty disgusting but I can tolerate it once it is paired with a 'baguong' (uhm, fermented shrimps/fish/meat?). Nonetheless, its better than the hotdogs that are serve in airplanes. Another was the baby duck in 'balut', its feathers felt like it can choke me anytime. Anyways other than those two, I can pretty much eat anything, ex: Cats, dogs, insects, cuisines from other countries. Yeah
Bangladeshi made the best curry I've ever tasted in my life, and I have tried a lot of different type of curry from different countries.
Carrot Juice! My mother was convinced that carrot juice was a cure all when I was growing up. That is the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted!!!!! I HATE carrot juice!!!!!! That sh*t is nasty!
Actually that most likely how it was prepared. Let me guess, it was really slimy? Try them pickled in vinegar or deep fried in beer batter. Very tastey that way
Regular fried egg. I've been wanting to like it my whole life, but it makes me gag every time. Human is also pretty hard to eat.
I thought I would hate peanut butter my whole life since I was young and vomited/recoiled at the smell and flavor. Now that I'm older I found peanut butter to be quite delicious. Along with peanut butter, I felt this way for tomatoes and eggplant. A good sandwich and Eggplant Parmesan (I made myself) changed my mind around quickly.
its not that carrot juice is disgusting you just gotta make it right then itll taste ok although its not something you wanna drink constantly
food is food, they come and they go, then recycled again to be a food, and the cycle keep repeating, so no reason to hate the shit we eat I guess
Ginger and lime grass. Growing up in a asian family. These are the core of any home made food. I cry whenever I bite into ginger or taste excessive lime grass. Salmon. I dont like fish but I after having salmon, it's pretty good.
