I’m sorry that I kinda reacting late( I hope it doesn’t bother you) But the point that you mentioned is the exact thing that I love about this story , in my opinion it was really realistic..if it was another Isekai novel , Ml would have do anything fl says, but not here(I would like to add that although Cael didn’t support Hestia’s point , he didn’t choose any other side..he was neutral)Fl’s only vision was her planned revenge but Ml’s vision was more general and political,what if he agreed with FL and then they caught up in imperial chaos?revenge has it’s own consequences!although I’m a Diana hater,but at that point I believe she got what she deserved (she wasn’t that evil to be honest)and I’m really happy that we didn’t get any drama about this matter cause ML’s opinion was understandable and they are both mature that’s why it shouldn’t turn into a drama

And it leads to the existence of herself in that world? Does love need a reason? I mean it can happen in different ways some people can fall at first sight, some fall for personality. In Hestia's case she at first got attached to Cael as character cuz she could relate to him and can see that his ending was unjustified when he was clearly the best out of 3. For me it felt that initially it might just be a fan kind of love but then these 2 people lived together for an year. During that time they helped each other, communicated with each other and solved different problem regarding their empire. During this time, they got attached on emotional level and Hestia's fan love became real love. The thing about this story is that the love end up feeling genuine compare to many other stories where ML and FL just fall after a day together. The part where Cael let go of revenge was not a big issue in the story itself and neither ruined the progression. If anything, it might have badly affected the story and character development of both ML and FL. Think this, Hestia and Cael are truly a couple in love at that point and having a healthy marriage. Cael just wanted to go back being normal couple and be done with royals. But Hestia misunderstood and it might have made sense cuz she thought that Cael will go back to Diana, it was a sense of hopelessness that took over her thinking that she can't change the novel. Remember that at this point they are way too deep in love. She didn't know that he was doing it so they won't have to deal with royals anymore and move on with their lives. It would be a hassle dethroning the princess, he'd rather spend that time with his wife. He is actually crying when he tried to explain this to Hestia. She understood and she also realized that letting go is better for them. Like Cael it was also about Hestia letting go and cherishing the good things in her life.
