Hi, total noob here. I'm just checking since I've been seeing a lot of 3rd party external website when I check stories here. I'm just wondering if there are free ready-made wordpress or other site for authors, that you can put all your stories in.
If you are talking about making a website is extremely easy. Wordpress disponibilize easy tools to do that and you can make a site for free. Of couse, for more advanced features you will need to pay some money.
Webfictionguide allows you to upload your stories for free. The site gets good traffic so you don't have to worry about exposure.
NU links to individual translators' sites. Some of them group up, and share space on a site. That's the best you'll get for stuff being in one site here aside from the NU listings themselves. NU site policy disallows linking to mirror aggregator sites. Edit: upon reading other replies, I realize I may have misunderstood the OP... Well... I hope my post was at least somewhat informative anyways.
Your best bet would be WordPress. It's free and has a lot of premade templates. They also verify most DMCA request they get, so even if you don't have permission from the author you should be fairly secure in there. There's a reason almost every translation site uses it.
It's okay, all the stories will be completely my originals anyway. I'm just wondering if it is easy to make and if it is free since almost everyone have them. I just think it will be cool to have your own site. It might look more professional.
But there is a problem in that you can't put advertisement or donation link on free wordpress site, unless he only takes the wordpress software and installs it in his own server.
