Interesting thread... As for me, if I could choose the player character, I'll make them to be a girl in 3rd person. Why? Because why should I spend 40 or so hours staring at a men's butt? I'm straight you know? I don't really play 1st person view game that much, so i dunno....

Female character models are usually much more attractive than their male counterpart. It's a shame really.
i always do this, and asking them free stuff. there's a game i play there's like a "park" where all the pro players gather around just to go afk and show off i use my female character to flirt with them and ask for items that they dont use (i mostly go there with low lvl char and ask them for gold and other miscellaneous cause they're already strong even their trash items are atleast epic or rare grade xD)
Ah! I remembered my cousin did that a long time ago. He was the side being flirted though, lol. Seriously... 'online girlfriend' he said... I feel the cringe when I remember it now. I usually play female characters btw. Mostly because I'd rather look at my cute lolies rather than a guy's butt (just like everyone else, i guess). There was this time when a guy asked about my age. I found out he's older than me and asked him if thesis is hard and we chat for a while. (yes, my lolies are pure.)
In a first person shooter I don't really care what gender I am. However, I prefer to play females in 3rd person shooters because it's just a lot more fun for me and is a bit more easy on the eyes
I pick whichever gender I feel like. Sometimes I wanna be a girl and other times I wanna be a boy. The voices/other options often affect this. I chose girl in Dragon Age Inquisition, cuz I like the girl lover options more. Its more of an aesthetic choice for me.
Usually male. If pokemon, and I have both versions, 1 male and the other female just to differentiate them when I play.
I usually pick my gender, because female outfits are cuter, but either way it doesn't really matter. -3-
