This is the gender-bender counterpart to the Danmei Room and Yuri Garden. Here, we cover anything and everything even slightly related to unusual gender roles (male-to-female, female-to-male, body-swap, ambiguous gender, crossdressing, transgender, nonbinary, futanari, intersex, gender non-conforming, identity questioning, etc).

Feel free to discuss your favorite novels, your own stories, look for recommendations, or just chill around!

My favorite gender-bender novels on NU are:

• Swamp Girl!
• Reborn as My Love Rival's Wife

Swamp Girl is seriously good! I love it a lot because the ending is great, and I love how it addresses questions about identity. Overall it's fantastic and I highly recommend it to any LGBT readers that are lurking out there because I find it kind of rare to find gender bender novels that spend so much effort examining identity. >w<

 

I've already read Swamp Girl, but not the second one. I think I've already read most of the Japanese Gender Bender series available on NU.

Though I haven't delved into Chinese Gender Bender yet. Demon Sword Maiden would be the first Chinese Gender Bender I read, but it mostly has a Japanese vibe to it, with some of those wuxia cultivation methods...

 

Yeah, I've definitely read through a bunch of the Japanese gender benders on NU too >.< I definitely haven't seen Demon Sword Maiden yet though! I guess it's also kind of new so I haven't seen it since running through the tags.

If you're up for raws, the chinese site http://book.sfacg.com/ has quite a lot of chinese gender bender. XD Most of them are yuri genderbender haha.

I recommend A Wild Last Boss Appeared! It's kinda a mix of Overlord + Gender Bender, if you're into that kinda stuff.

Well, I am the type of translator that reads as I translate so I haven't really got much recommendation.

Though I've found this novel called "I will make a harem even if I become a cute dragon girl" merely by chance and only translated the first few paragraphs because it seemed interesting.

Since I don't have the ability to man two novels at once, I haven't really got the chance to translate more of that series though.

The only thing bothering me in that series is the long-af name and how the name seemed to be inconsistent, which I'm still not sure as of this moment whether the protagonist is delusional or the author is confused

 

A wild last boss is definitely a good series, I've read the manga. I haven't read the Web novel since I think the story progress was still behind the manga last time I read??

Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mo Uso o Kasaneru
Kunisaki Izumo no Jijou - sad this one's on a hiatus

 

I looked up both and Ookami Shounen wa Kyou mo Uso o Kasaneru caught my interest. I'm saving it as a manga to read. Thanks!
