Recommendations Gentleman Buddha with a cane

I know what Im looking for may not exist, but I might as well ask. Im looking for a novel in which the mc is like Buddha and uses a cane. By that I mean a mc that never acts serious and is aloof and joking around in a life death situation, but acts super serious only occasionally, most similarly to ceaser from Coiling Dragon. The mc has to be good natured, but not necessarily a saint, so no arrogant mc. If the whole cane thing is a bit much omit it, I just want that inclusion because i have yet to see any novel with the mc using a cane as a weapon or tool. Light novels, wuxia, and original novels are all welcome for suggestions.

(MC uses a cane. Is both a gentleman and a devil, and is very mysterious. Story has slow start)

I think there are some animes with that kind of character. Can't remember any of them though.
I guess One-punch man kinda-sorta-maybe fits that description?

Too specific of a genre, Buddhist novels aren't widely sought after so barely any Buddhist novels. I haven't read any myself so I don't know how different they are from Xianxia. A cane? Yeah Totem is the only one that comes to mind and I'd rather not recommend this novel...

@Don't_Don Goku isn't a Buddhist though...

Hummm...other than novels, the characters that I remember as cane user are:
- Prof. Munakata from his own series (manga)
- Zatoichi (movie fictional character, a blind traveling swordsman using sword cane as his weapon)
- Mamoru Hijikata (Until Death do Us Apart manga, another blind sword cane user)
