getting names mixed up, I hate this

My second thread today.

I just want to know if this happens to y'all 2.I read 30 novel so everytime I get a update chapter and i try to read it I wouldforgot the names of the character or get the storie mix up.
For example when I try to read sovereign of the three realm I would get it mix up with empyrean over lord and dragon marked war God.

 

i always mix up dragon blooded war god and dragon martial emperor ._.

 

I forget everyone.... I remember descriptions and context.. But I can't remember names... Especially Chinese and Korean names.... I'll forget characters in a week or 2... (give me a month and ill forget the names of characters I like...) the memory resurfaces if I am exposed to the next chapter or so... Otherwise it'll disappear out the window.... (I really have issues remember who is who for novels that update about once a month or so.)

Mixed up 2 CN's cos both the MC's were being introduced to pill making. Took me an entire day to realize the mix up. Realized it when the next chapter was added.

 

Yes, with the xanxia because they are really (reaaaaaaaly) similar (atg mga pmg csg....)
Sometimes I mix up names too

 

Only happens when I read 2 series that starts similarly at the same time

 

Eh, Sovereign and Dragon have the same MC name, no? I dunno how you get Empyrean mixed in...

As for storyline, it's even easier. Dragon Mark has the cultivation of creating Dragon Marks... duh. Sovereign has a dukedom and lots of social political parts. Empyrean has god with a super space goard. Lots of differences...

 

I get confused if they're names with a lot of x's. I've learnt to not read names but just recognize them based on letters. makes things much easier

I don't think that has happened to me a lot but I don't know if that is just me having a good memory or being extremely forgetful.

 

I have a text file for each story. I list each character's name with a short description in it and keep it open on my desk top for quick review as I read.

Here is an example from "To Be A Virtuous Wife":

I always read dragon marked war god as dragon maken war and get happy because a new chapter is out while it's not and that make me sad T-T

 

It did happen to me at the beginning when I started reading Xianxia/Xuanhuan. I especially used to mix up Martial God Space with Peerless Martial God and a bit with Dragon Martial Emperor, I think, and a few events or other things from some novels also got mixed up. The thing that almost never gets mixed up is probably the names in my case. Chinese, Japanese and sometimes even Korean names seem quite interesting to me so maybe that's why I can remember them better.

 

Jiang Chen... Chen... Yun.... Jiang Yang.... Ye... Ye... YE AGAIN... Yun dang wut..... Che.... Ming... Ling... Lin... Wang... adjkndbsjksoajsldk!!

 

I always forget most of the stuff if i don't start reading after opening the link, like sometimes i have 7 links opens and start doing something else and in the end with the chapter open i'm like "the hell was i going to read?"

Usually i do remember the stuff....after half the chapter at least

 

I did that when I was younger but now the just come to me if I try hard enough

I remember exactly who they are when I see the names but when I'm not reading it I forget every name. I of course remember all those famous MCs who you must give face
