No idea where this thread belongs, to be honest. I'm just tired of lurking on the pick up forum and not finding something that suits my tastes. It's a struggle. I've been on an extended break since finishing Gentle Beast, but I'm back. Though I cannot promise anything, especially with my health the way it is, I do try for one chapter a day releases. So I can at least say there will be regular updates until the project is completed. Something to keep in mind: I am having a lot of health issues. My doctor recently diagnosed me with an enlarged liver and growths on my thyroid. I've been taken off all my medications (mood stabilizers, pain pills, allergy medication, supplements, etc. etc.) and I am miserable. Hence expending effort to find something to translate is not something I can afford. I'm hoping you all are willing to help me out a little? I do have a few requirements (preferences) though (i'm kind of high maintenance, sorry) : Completed in the original language (Preferably Chinese) Until further notice, nothing that's been dropped or put on hiatus by another translator, I'm too new to risk poaching, and the pressure is intense. Please under 100 chapters, or of reasonable word count. Unless you think it's really worth it, and it's backed up by at least two other people! If it has arcs of reasonable length, I'll consider doing it on an arc-by-arc basis though! Strong female leads! None of those whiny weak female characters that make me want to rip out my hair! Or that rely on their romantic interests for everything. Give me a woman! Not a girl with no spine. Strong male leads! Gimme a man amongst men. I'm a sucker for the ideal man falling for the female lead types. Heck, I'm okay if he's just a two-faced cold-to-everyone-else-but-loyal-to-my-sweetheart type. (I'm forever alone so give my imagination some sweet love, yeah?) Plot doesn't lose focus on the original goals! None of those "oh comedy's synonymous to crack" stories where you can't tell what is and isn't important. No sexual assault/abuse unless it is properly dealt with (none of that rape victim Stockholm Syndrome BS) I would prefer straight romance for now. I will take BL and GL suggestions if they are really good, but understand they will not be my go-to choice right off the bat If you're sending me something R-18, mark it please! I like sexy times as much as the next person, but I don't like going into something blind. Thanks~! Also, if it's appropriate for the genre, can I has babies!? I love babies, and family dynamics makes me so happy! I would literally die of cute overload. >///w///< Ultimately, what's most important to me is that the plot is solid and doesn't get forgotten in the wake of romance later on. I like my romance like I like my spices: heavy but as a flavor not the meal. I'm currently hooked on ancient china transmigration stories but I'm leaving my doors open. I've only got one project under my belt and I'm really only just starting out, so I wouldn't able to offer you anything except for eternal gratitude for at least a little while.
