I personally disagree, I have an above average IQ, but there's lots of things I hace difficulty with, yet others I know have a lower than average IQ, yet they're working on masters degrees in university. Essentially the problem I have with IQ is that there are way too many factors it does not consider. For example I saw a documentary that studied IQ in the US, and the conclusion was that IQ has less to do with intelligence, and more to do with how well off the childs family was.
Really? Well I suppose logic is opposed to love, if people got smarter they wouldn't be clinging to their ex's for irrational reasons.
That has more to do with exposure than anything else. You can't put a slum kid who marvels at the existence of cars and a rich kid who's spent his life with a silver spoon stuck up his ass together and expect the poor kid to do any better. In cases like this the child is usually proficient in what helps him in day to day life. In this case street smarts. Its all fine and dandy to have a high IQ but what you need is that street smarts. The knowledge of how to survive and flourish and IQ tests can't grade that :/
Nah, you just wouldn't forgive someone cheating on you, abusing you and staying together when you grew apart. Stuff like that.
IQ has nothing to do with ambitions. If someone has high IQ he could clean toilets in case he is contented with the amount of money he recieves for the job. And in his free time he would design spaceship toilets.

I'd agree, but the IQ test treats them as equals, there are soooo many things it doesn't consider, but perhaps worst of all is the idea that ones IQ remains constant, it doesn't it fluctuates in life, and should generally increase as one gets older, as one simply learns and understands more.
even if you have 1000 IQ as long you are lazy make no difference than having 10, and raising IQ by 10 or 30 doesn't affect society in any way.

Just an IQ doesn't determine a person is smart. There are many factors, Even there is a person with 400 IQ, but he lazy as hell and prideful as devil. Can be that person described as smart?
IQ Test are a bad way to test intelligence as it does not cover all the wide categories we relate to intelligence. Eg creativeness, short term memory, understanding long term effects. People in modern society just better have structured learning environments and can just show Thier intelligence better better than our previous generations
