    MapleKaiser: I know right. I'm not sure if he is angry because he is Japanese or cannot tolerate racism, but if he is chinese he might surely drop it ; ) Considering what kind of shit vietnamese do. Goes pretty much on a scale comparable to hitler. Not to mention there are also european racists, germans.. Well there is a lot of racism in this story and even more assholes. But it also teach you something. If you are racist, you will probably die :D

    Ah and calling asians yellow monkeys?

    I don't get it thought. Translator mentioned racist MC, but that ain't true. He is heartless equally to everyone.

    I don't understand how people can be so chocked by racism in this novel. I mean, people are THAT blind ? Go read a few JP and you'll see the same shit from the opposite side; i'm reading Magika no Kenshi atm, guess what ? Chinese are a bunch of idiot aiming to MC's life and jap land. Unless you read something which is nation-free like ISSTH, you'll always encounter such situation, some more forced than other.

    Dropping it for this reason is understandable, but still disapointing. Oh well, I just hope someone pick it up, we were reaching a good point in this story, and we still havent see Chen yao get told !

    I hope it doesn't turn out like Stellar Transformations where translators keep on switching.
    Also (The Story of Living as I Please After Being Reincarnated in Another World with a Ridiculously Cheat Power) isn't that bad cause she like its and a lot of shit happens. Overall its a good story but its your opinion so I can't change that.

    I hope some translator that has a thicker skin take over, just because a novel contains racism doesnt mean he promotes racism, maybe he is just showing the dark side of racism

    In vietnam arc, vietnamese are openly racist towards chinese. Of course not all of them, but as long as there is a strong leader with his messed up attitude, others will follow, they just do what their hero/leader do. And he is fu*** racist alright. In his eyes chinese are slaves. Pigs. They can live as long as they are useful and submit to them and crawl like dogs (brothel, hard work), but there is additional enjoyment when they die. That's what i mean the shit vietnamese do.

    I laughed a lot about about their exchange with europeans. Just imagine one big racist side that wants to take advantage of those yellow monkeys and other side that is equally racist toward outsiders, or even more because they are dumbly open about it. And let the fun begin.

    This story also makes you realize a lot about connections between Chinese and Viets. I am not entirely sure why North Vietnam "hates" chinese so much, or even if it is true, but they surely have some disagreements. I guess it's all about a freaking islands. But then they blindly forget how they helped them in viet war.

    Regardless this is chinese novel, therefore chinese are always right. They are so unfairly disliked hehe :}

    I think these all sum it up pretty well. I think it would be more questionable if there wasn't any racism at all, as when the world 'goes to shit' the worst comes out in everyone. Of course it's different if the author uses it to push his own agenda/ideas, but as an author you have to be able to write both controversial and dislikeable characters.

    If the translator doesn't want to do it, I don't have any qualms. Have to be greatful for what was provided already, but I do hope it gets picked up by someone else.
