Im so excited for this new novel! The first 4 chapters were amazing! The mc is cool and his daughter is super cute! I just want to hug her so much! I beg the translator not to drop this! I hope this novel gets popular and gets lots of chapters fast! I cant wait to meet the MC's sister!

Whats wrong with not wanting his daughter to be named Emily? The wife didnt care about his surname and made it seem like he wasnt the father. There was nothing racist about it. He is just proud of his ancestry and wants his daughter to have a chinese name. She's a full blooded chinese girl after all. You should go see what a real racist and nationalism novel is.
His wife is just a want to be american who named their daughter Emily. Its stupid and the mc did a good job changing her name. The girl even thought it was stupid after the mc explained it to her.

Couldn't she be Emily Zhang? What's the big deal with having an English name? Lots of Chinese around the world have English or European names. Doesn't mean they are not Chinese. Also, I know a few English students who took on Chinese names when they were learning Chinese in my country. Only racist idiots would think that English or Chinese names define a person. That reminds me. I know a group of cosplayers who have Elvish names even though they are obviously humans. I guess that means they gave up their human identity and all rights associated with being human? Don't be stupid.
Its really common to have both English and Chinese name. For author to actually put something like that in the story make me really question if its worth reading at all. the author seem to have a lot of misguided national pride and those tend to make the novel pretty shitty. Also name hardly determines your race, there plenty of Chinese people with western name just written with Chinese words with matching sound.
Just finish reading up to chapter 200 raw after seeing in on novelupdate. Surprisingly, the novel actually slowly get better and better. But it is also the top stay home father kind of novel in zongheng so it was only to be expected.
Reading this thread...everyone has to chill lol. It is just only naming, why look so much into it? Some people prefer Chinese name, some people prefer English name. That is all. As someone who is born in China and go to US to study...Sure there are some Chinese with English name, and some English with Chinese name, but I can tell you guys that most Chinese parents would prefer their child to have a Chinese name and be surnamed after them, and most English people would rather have an English name. You guys are being too serious about a name LOL.
