Good Conversation Starters and Follow-ups

Yo! It's Panda-emic once again, who really should be called panda-encouraging.
In response to @Nom de Plume's, @Parth37955's and Tony's (I'm too afraid to summon him here) I've been trying to liven up the place with topics and threads that are interesting (hopefully) and not going to head off in an R-18 direction (hopefully once again).

So this thread is about conversation starters! I am a little awkward panda in real life, and I do find it hard to make friends. Fortunately I do have some very close few. But, when I want to approach someone new, or have no choice but to work with people I don't know, what do I say? My go to in this situation is, "What kind of toilet paper do you use?"

Post up your best conversation starter, strike up some yourself with the NUF community and let's all be friends! (Even I cringe at my cheesy, cheesy words...I'm like nachos at the moment; cheesy, corny and as red as a tomato!)

 

And since nothing has happened...I summon @OverlyFriendly because she seems like she would be good at this kinds of stuff. This humble panda requests for you to work your friendly magic and get more people to this thread.

You my kind panda are like me from seven years ago, a time when I could barely say hi

A friend described it like this, I go up to someone and say hi, afterwards all the tiny little men In my head spend a minute looking for something to say before I awkwardly walk away

I have learned from 24 yes on the beautiful world that your best bet is to try your best to be friendly, you don't have to say hi everytime you see your friend, you don't have to bear great conversationalist you just have to say what you want to say when you want to say it.

Though my advise might make you seem vary rough, it worked for me and I'm currently engaged *shrug*
