I knew I bookmarked this for a reason Magi no Okurimono it's short and complete take it as a slightly long short story I cried no pride lost there. Highly recommend.
I have some that were very sad to me, but if I gave you there names when you expect it to be sad then the twist wouldn't work.

Same here, my brother and I found it at the library and we both cried. It holds a special place in my heart, but I still find it hard to reread cuz I get scared of the sadness lol
If you haven’t already read these then please try them lol. Record of Fallen Vampire had my heart clenching, the plot twists are good. Binbougamiga made me cry when I read it a second time.
Definitely not the biggest tearjerkers from me but the most recent manga that have some semblance would be 3 days of happiness and maybe Tsurebito.
