google chrome being drunk

so im on my pc, and for some reason there's this menu/tab bar on the top of my screen that i cant seen to remove that should only be there when opening google chrome web browser, now its really annoying cause even if i do open google chrome its still there, so its like double. and i cant even cover it up with maximizing an app to hide it behind.


can anyone help me with this? i tried factory resetting my pc and it worked then but its happened again and i dont want to reset my pc again.

Try uninstall chrome
Kill any chrome service in task manager
Than install chrome again

 

Settings -> appearance -> show bookmarks bar (disable) ?

 

Could it be ad-ware? Another possibility is a chrome extension?

If it is adware, check programs installed recently, and keep track of what you install.
You might be able to use task manager to find out.

 

i haven't ever encountered a problem like this, but have you tried uninstalling chrome restart then reinstalling?

 

wait nevermind, i found out what's wrong. god im stupid. can someone close this thread.

seems i accidentally installed a virus/app and so i tried uninstalling it and deleting the sauce. it worked
