CSI, NCIS, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, stuff like that but in novel form. Think of it like research for me.
I can only remember The Day of The Jackal from same author of The Odessa Files I forget author name but you can try search under name Agatha Christie for such novel ah Black Cat by Poe is also good~ those all on book form~ maybe @Arcturus will help you better
Bones , Mentalist and psych. Psych has plot and comedy, i really recommend it. Bones has slight plot but it is more of a handling a case each episode somewhat like CSI except they deal with you know BONES kinda obvious from the name. As for mentalist it is freaking awesome.
Yes, but how would I go about writing a novel similar to these? I wanted to see a novel written in these formats.
Assemble a cast of characters Probably start pov with head of the team as they're introduced to the rest of the team, either stick to the head of the team throughout or pingpong between perspectives
Writing a novel similar to these is very hard. First because of expressions, these ones are heavily influenced by gestures and expressions. Second government crime fighting units are influenced with the location [ex. csi miami is completely different from csi ny[ so the setting is important. Finally describing the crime scene is not going to be easy, you have to give clues for your own character to follow and may be some hidden ones that the criminal attempted to hide. I recommend you watch a series of the genre that you want to write about since by writing you are drawing the reader a picture of what is going on, therefore you have to have a picture in mind to begin with. Good luck!
I'm more familiar with novels that involve only single investigators/detectives in the vein of sherlock holmes. Sorry.
Even though I know of no such novels I must say this, definetly must, In that tv show list of yours, why do I not see White Collars? That's freakin epic!
