Well I'm a thoroughly pessimistic person

But I sincerely hope it works out for you guys and that you can knock some sense into qidian.

Whether I think it'll work out or not (pessimism) I'll leave out of this.

so why not ask gravity tales to put QiDan dual hosted procedure at gravity.. take all Qidan nobvel and host itu at gravity tales too... i thinbk it's good to follow qidan definition of dual hosting wkwk

Plus every download and active app user makes their app more valuable.

 

beware of qidian scheme. and dont let qidian telling u say good thing about them for promotion sake, we dont believe in qidian.

There has got to be something happening at QI that shake up their stance on this.
I wonder if QI and WW will kiss and make up now?

 

This seems like a huge plot where Qidian f**ked over other translation websites by making them not able to translate Qidian novels. They get all their novels on a website(Gravity) that they have bought(Questionable), which not only gets Qidian more site revenue, they'll also attract more translators while giving that website(Gravity) a good reputation of fighting and doing good for the translation community, they can also use that site as a platform to get novels from other websites, and make those other novel websites not make their own translation website like Qidian because it will fail(at least it'll be taken as an example, and won't want to waste any investments(is there any?)) and from there, they get the monopoly over the translation market!.

Maybe i'm over thinking things....maybe.

i do wish GT good luck and i hope this isn't a new game QI's tried to come up with to screw over ren / ww and the community yet again

 

Seems this is part of the reason that we had that mass exodus of translators from Gravitytales a while back.

While it would seems that the deal between Gravity and QI isnt that bad for gravity.... it would seem that wuxiaworld was trying to get a better deal for the translators from QI.
But still partnering up with a company like QI that reneges on their contract with WW, steals their translations it would really seem like Gravity sold its soul to the devil......
And I get it that gravity would refrain from meddling with others businesses but by silently watching from the sidelines, doing business with a company that evidently is trying to f*ck other parties your kinda agreeing with their methods.

We shall see how it goes, but im on wuxiaworlds side for this one. At least they really try to maintain a high quality translations for the readers and provide it for free without trying to f*ck us over.

PS: This also feels like a PR stunt from Qidian trying to win back some goodwill..... but as long as they keep stealing their works from WW (that they see as their property) I cant help but think the worst of them.
Also they might hold the right to the story, but not to the translation. So they could ask for removal from the story but not stealing the translation.

Er, there is a thread for this already.

Plus, GT hasn't bought all QI novels. They have a set. Buying all of them would cost more than all the TL sites have earned, net through the last 4 years.

I hope Ash, the Forty Millenniums of Cultivation TLer on QI, gets another great novel to translate. He's been doing fantastic translations, genuinely superior to the previous one's, and made the novel that much better to read. The QI TLer for Gu Daoist Master or whatever, though... that one doesn't deserve his job title. Rather than keeping the novel afloat, he was poking it with holes in an attempt to drown all readers onboard.

 

Who knows the guy who did the the PR for QI was from gravity tales I believe ( I could be wrong)
