indeed. but i hope that the tl who do get the copyrights wont end up dropping the work in the future as it wont be too good for original author's trust~

Well, I just hope the whole thing doesn't turn out to be too complicated. Not too familiar with IP rights and int'l copyright laws. One thing I could forsee though is that this may somehow work against aspiring tl's. Well, on the bright side, it could help upgrade the tl quality.

Pretty happy about em, is good to see GTs get ahead and become more legit as I always feels a bit unsettled when only 1 site rules them all as WW was doing. They ate a lot of lone translators and while that was awesome for those guys to get WW backing it kinda made me feel that they de-legitimized lone translators who where not part of a bigger site now at least there is some competition which is great because that breeds better results.

When I read the title, I thought you meant gravitytale got pursuit by copyright and in risk of getting shutdown.

I don't understand why translators are going after copyright if they are not selling translated novels; unless you do that or your website makes you enough money to get you to label it a business, it isn't neccesary. Fan translations are not illegal. Receiving donations for doing fan translations, also not illegal.

The downside that all I can see in this is the possibility of translated novel being dropped due to reasons(such as accidents, bad blood, etc) and it will be hard to those that wants to shoulder the continuation of the translation. In which I hope the groups has a solution to?

Edit: Maybe I'm just overthinking. This is a good news to all sides. Hooray! ^^ I just hope that the possibility of shady businesses in the future may not happen.
