nobody is saying we don't appreciate it being tl just that it's too slow to wait for each chapter and read it as it's released. it's on my very slow list and i want to read it but in chunks tbh the worse tl is ash, who goes MIA and only comes back to release 2 chapters and stop other people from picking the novel up. even zhanxian who does 1 chapter a month is still much much better
Elizabeth Is female? Check Worship/reverence for MC? Check Age? Old, but that doesn't matter with skull staff well boys, we got another harem member.
Guys, what's the translation quality right now? I stalled it at chapter 360+ when it still was @volarenovels, but then they announced some slow a*s release rate like 1chapter/week for some reason which I don't really remember atm and that was the point when I stalled it. So I see now that after chapter 379 another group/TLer took it over... could you say something about quality?
If that's all about it, then I'm in. But srsly what about f.e. names, the most irritating thing I encountered and I cannot rly handle it is misplacing character names, like 'person A' is interacting with 'person B' and their names are mixed up and on top of that it's so obvious that just one reread would be enough to pick it out. Another case: Changing existing names (made by previous TLer) to new ones without even mentioning it.
I'm quite tired of the corrupt church trope. I'd really like an evil mc against a righteous and virtuous church. Could even have chapters from the POV of believers of the church. If anyone knows of any good novels with an evil mc let me know.
It just shows you how they hate christianity lol. Sometimes they actually do evil buddha but most of the time its the pope.
I wouldn't say that they hate it but that they see religion as more shades of grey. If we look back on the history of necromancers in this world we can see why any organization would see and use them as the bad guys. The mc in this story isn't a good guy but that can also be said about being a bad guy. I think that GDK is more about shades of grey than it is about good and light. The first Church of Light guy that Han fought didn't want to kill him but just wanted to take him in. He didn't think Han was a bad guy but the knowledge that he had(necromancy spells) could mean great destruction to the world if it fell into the wrong hands. Later on we have discovered about the church of light doing human sacrifices which in modern time is deemed evil. Now does this one thing make the church of light completely evil? No, but I think it makes it a shade of grey just like the Mc. . . Just a side note but most majority religious organizations have some dark history its just the people who view those organizations in a more positive light will ignore them. We are more inclined to ignore or skim over some of the darker parts of our major religions history but to outsiders looking in they will look at the major points be them good or bad.
