What do you guys do when you reach the point in a game where it becomes all grinding? Whether to level your character, collect that rare armor set or just complete the whole game, what do you do?

I've reached that point in Merge Dragons and it's hard to maintain interest in the game haha. When I reached that point in Merge Magic, I basically quit playing. The completionist in me wants to finish clearing the whole map, but the lazy person in me doesn't want to keep repeating making wonders so I can get enough eggs.

I mean, grinding in the same place with the same monsters can be boring so yeah, why not, sometimes my character dies because I am grinding with far too much stronger monsters but it is fun to die and try again XD

Push through and grind for that thing, cheat, or give up, I guess.
Depending on how boring it is for me, how long it is and if I can cheat or not.

depends.... if I really enjoy the progression and the grinding curve isn't that bad, maybe. If I really enjoy the gameplay and the the grinding isn't that bad, definitely.

sounds like silkroad to me kill 50 monster of x, y, z finish the quest - get a new one this time 500 each when done 5000 each

rappelz was standing for hours on the same spot in a dungeon and chippin away while almost forcing you to buy buff items from the cashshop every 5-6 h perhaps a drop and that mostly for other classes - if you increased your level enough you stand in the next dungeon

i would say grind aims for some achievments/gratifications while having fun seems to be the other approach
    grind isnt fun for me
an if you dont have the time or are willing to spend the time for boring grind (that you might have to repeat with every other char, twink, toon, whatever its called in that game) its best to look for games that doenst generate their playtime with grinds
since its hard to provide that much content i guess that are mostly pvp games

being long time in guild having made friends etc might keep me in a game , otherwise i might tolerate a certain amount of grind - if it gets to much i look for some other game better matching my taste

oh god, SRO was such a typical Asian grind mmo lol. I still thought it looked great when it came out, but the grind around lvl 30 made me quit. A couple thousand kills for quest and if you die twice, you just lost that entire quest's worth of exp, and this was back when internet was unreliable so a disconnect was normal and often mean death.

    didnt got far neither
and the grind was just 1 aspect you got a extreme pay 2 win game and a pvp system so pray that no whale had fun in ganking newbies ...

i think there was a reworked version years later but that brought me back to perhaps 20 min ingame a few yt vids and the uninstall button

    Cheat.

I usually cheat from the start though, by turning on exp multiplier or something to avoid the same situation as you.
