    I remember there being some novel that used the Groundhog Day idea. It was about a mage I think? Pls tell :D

    groundhog day is an older Bill Murray movie in which every morning he wakes up on groundhog day. He is trapped in a time loop which resets and allows him to do whatever he wants (die, learn new skills, etc.)

    time loop implies a set time frame (either good or bad), whereas a "groundhog day" is a short period of time where the trapped character cant escape til he learns some life lesson

    No no.. Groundhog day is a movie that just so happens have a time loop.
    Here's a cute lil quote I found on wiki about production of the movie, where they call it "time loop"
