trying to decide which would be a better pick from the ps4 store. do note i do NOT have playstation plus so no multiplayer
I didn't play Saint row 4, but I played the third and it was really, really fun, GTA V was a really good game, depend on what you want (something fuckep up, or more "realistic") I still would advice more GTA V
I preferred GTA 5 way more hours plus saints row 4 was to easy the superpowers just made it impossible to even feel a challenge
Saints Row IV will give tons of replayability. Remember its a super power open world, not a crime open world. I have replayed SR4 multiple times more than GTA but the mini events might get tiring
GTA V is a great game, especially online, but it is definitely not as much fun if you do not have PSN Plus. Saints Row 4 on the other hand has a ton of replayability and is a much better game without any online services and would probably be a better and more entertaining choice.
saints row 4 uses the same map, cars, graphics etc of saints row 3, so much that it can be called a dlc isntead. You get bored of it after playing for a while, cause there isnt any chalenge after you complete the game.
Personally, I love both and have played both. I got halfway through GTAV and finished SRIV. I suggest Saints Row to people who like doing insane things and can suspend reality. Saints Row has always been crazy but SRIV gets really out there. My favorite gun is the dub step gun because I can kill people WITH MUSIC, man. Personally, I found SRIV more entertaining but I did like GTAV. However, I think GTAV is better played with friends, that is half the charm. While single player is fun and engaging, a big half of the game is online, while for Saints Row they have co-op if you want it, kind of deal. I finished Saints Row 4 in about 50h after getting all the small bits and pieces and side missions and dilly dallying because I LOVE THIS WORLD and the mechanics are super fun to play. GTAV also had fun mechanics, but I loved the super powers SRIV offered, how I could jump five stories up in one leap and shoot fire and control objects with my mind. The craziness was more insane, and the mechanics smoother and more fun IMO.
gta is fun with the multiplayer desu~ better on pc desu~ saintsrow is fun cause it acknowledges the fact that we are all somewhat psychopathic and have the urge to go destroy the world and rules the people and gives us the magical shit like the dub step gun desu~

I suggest getting Saints Row The Third ... Between GTA 5 and Saints Row 4 et al, I can't really say since I haven't personally played GTA 5, but I have played Saints Row and it was fun.
I haven't played both of them yet.. both if its five years ago it was saint row 3 vs gta iv i'd choice saint row.
Saints row was good up till 3. SR4 barely even fits the genre anymore. I'm picking GTA5 because of this. SR4 makes cars LITERALLY USELESS
