I have been looking for something good to read. During the course of my search, I found that some novel descriptions don't describe anything. They don't really say anything. I don't want to generalize but it seems to be mainly CNs.

If you find some good examples, you guys should post them. I'm going to use my favorite, that I found so far, as an example. This way you guys know what I mean.

"The eagle soars through the sky; the fish leaps over the dragon’s gate; the bear roars and the tiger howls; all things in the world have a spirit. At the ends of Earth, the poles and magnetic field re-align; the world changes. The world that we were so used to, is no longer.

When myths turn to reality; when legends are no longer enigmatic, the world is now limitless."

    Taken from: http://www.novelupdates.com/series/limitless/

This doesn't mention: Who or what Is the mc. What is their goal? Is the mc even a human?
Who knows, humans aren't even mentioned.

Flowery speech and intelligent-sounding words gets the readers (or gets published?)
I remember Yu Wo having trouble with one of her stories because the title wasn't good enough (I think it was Legend of the Sun Knight). They wouldn't publish it until she changed the title.

Need to verify this ... where did I read it from...?

It's a Chinese cultural thing. In general, if a CN novel has a meaningful description then a fan wrote it.

I find it off-putting. Why bother reading a story that has no goals or plot. If I wanted flowery words I could read a thesaurus.

That's the main part. If a synopses mentioned that MC would be an invincible god at the end, then that's it; readers would know that MC would be a god at the end even before starting to read it.
Same with the names, if the name of the book would point out what the MC would turn into at the end story then that's boring. However if the name is something that MC would achieve but the goal is different then that's worth of reading.

    something like this?
    "
A wonder falling down from heaven! A boy possessed by strange blood! Gods tremble! Demons flee! A boy from the land of Dong Zhou. A pink skull as his sworn friend until death. A story of a determined warrior struggling for power. A legend that shakes the galaxy and disturbs the worlds of god, demon and man."

Sorry, they are too busy filling in word counts for $$$, so they just copy and paste the weather and/or horoscope and use it. Just like they do with the image.

It's because CN Author try to be "Smart" or "Creative". And they "Failed Hard"(LOL). No reader want some "Philosophy sayings" but just want a Real Description about the novel.

No, its because they try to be "elegant" and they want their descriptions to be filled with "integrity" and "overbearing" words. That is still alright, until you read the novel and find out that the MC keeps fucking girls wherever they go. Where is the integrity now? Is there anything elegant here?

What would happen, if one day fantasy collides with reality?
It is so detailed, and explains exactly what the situation is
Also, can't remember name, but I remember one synopsis was basically a story, as it told the events, the plot twists, and introduced all the characters, conflict, solution, etc

Hahahahahaha read until the last line for the twist:

Transmigrated into the body of a cannon fodder villain, Chu Yu has three major worries:

    1. How can he help the protagonist turn into a real harem master?
    2. How can he develop a good relationship with the protagonist?
    3. How can he live properly without holding on to the protagonist’s thigh?

The protagonist has three major worries:

    1. Eldest brother has changed
    2. Eldest brother has really changed
    3. How can he marry eldest brother?

Edit: It's from Every Day the Protagonist Wants to Capture Me

Chinese names are a lot more meaningful. Mentioning them in the synopsis might turn it into a spoiler?

Pretty sure you will learn the MCs name in first chapter usually. Not to mention you can still mention what it is about without mentioning any names. Like you know the old format of: "This is a story about a young boy who was destined to be a failure but due to a stroke of luck changed his fate." and etc. You don't even need to name anyone.

When I come across synopsis like that I read reviews and then decide hell the reviews are far more informative then an obscure and forcefully mysterious intro
