Based on your description, I'd really recommend Otherworldly Evil Monarch, even though it ends up as a harem. He's actually not exactly the playboy type or something, it's just that he ends up in some situations,

for example in one situation, it's pretty much the aphrodisiac trope, it's just that the girl sacrifices herself to save him so he ends up taking responsibility for her, another one is a dunce, but she really likes him and is devoted to him so he didn't really know what to do with her, then there's one that he likes the most and genuinely loves, and that one would become his first wife, there's another one that his mother arranged him into marrying and another one that falls for him and that situation is even more fucked up as she might have died if he didn't accept her or something.

 

...I swear, I started reading it about a week ago, and it wasn't tagged as harem. Granted it should be due to the number of women in love with him, but at the same time, he still only seems to be trying to go for the original heroine. All of the other ones are just trying to steal him from her.

As for him falling for the other one...it could happen, but considering all of the mental fortitude that he has, I doubt it.

 

MC mental is stong enough i think.. After all before MC reborn he already set his foot on peak of cultivation (Maybe?), god know how old he before..!!!

This is why I stopped reading Other worldly evil monarc, I loved the story at the begging but then I found about the harem and also most of the event so far does more make sense for he plot. But the harem sounds ridiculous, I mean even his sister in law is part of it and that stupid princess. I liked him better when he was described as a cold blooded assassin with low EQ.

 

I actually hoped for the sister in law to end up with him, but does Ling Meng become part of it too? I've read almost till the end, and that far she was more like an ornament around there, seemed like she still didn't understand her own feelings or something.

Edit: The only things I disliked about this story was the stupidity of those people, I mean the ones that should be humanity's benefactors or something and the fact that there's not enough character interaction and of course, the fact that there aren't even more chapters.
