Assumptions cannot be taken if the student got high at home or at school, the student themselves are at risk with any involvement with drugs. It is the schools responsiblity to watch the student until he or she has arrived home. Otherwise the school still holds 100% of the responsibility of that student. If the student was high and hurt themselves the school would take the fault with that for not being cautious. They also need to report to the parents for any misconducts that were discovered at school. Such as the drug use. I do agree it was a over exaggerated from the fellow student and embrassing for the tc and that the school shouldve apologized but they're just protecting themselves and the students. They're just following protocol.
You can't just randomly throw out privacy and civil rights as a justification, there are many instances as a person you have to follow policies of places that you are at, be it school or work. At my workplace there is a zero drug policy, If and when I'm caught that would be a instant dismissal, no more work and back to looking for a job.
No. At most I was accused of cheating in a physic test. After the test someone reported I made a cheat sheet, so I had to take the test again. And I still got a similar result. Obviously it's because I didn't cheat.. the cheat sheet was stuck in the eraser's wrapper, and I can't get it out.
Poor you, why not saying you not really high? When high everybody always smiling and talk nonsenses a lots.
Anyway, red eyes aren't the only indicator. I can understand if you smell the stuff and they got red eyes, but solely based on red eyes, no. I would have directed them to other students with red eyes. "Do you wanna test them too? Come on everyone, lets pee."
That can be from not sleeping or being drunk or maybe if you got some dust into the eyes or something... I don't think the first assumption would be directly 'drugs'.
Yea red eyes is an illness too, nobody thought about that? Well American and Europe may not think so I guess.
That sounds like a massive, not to mention unrealistic overreaction. People in my high school pulled all nighters and such all the time before exams and tests, since our school's difficult level was pretty high. Its pretty damn easy to tell if someone is high or just red eyes from something else too...Frigging talk to someone for a bit and you can more or less tell if they're high or not. Sorry to say, but the girl who said that to you was dumb herself, she could have just asked "Are you ok?" and it wouldn't have mattered how loud it was. Asking out loud "Are you high?" is plain stupid and embarrassing for the one being asked. The teacher/principal overreacted too. Quite a bit. On topic, I've been accused of being high a few times. Sometimes, its been justified though...
I think they know (some teacher at my colleZ) as i attend some classes(lecture) being high as fuck but they dont say anything and are cool with it. The ironic thing is they say im high in the days that im fresh. They accuse me only in these times
Well this didn't happen to me but to a friend of mine: One day he arrived around 2-3 hours late at school and when we asked him what happened he told us that the police were inspecting cars on his way to school (I don't recall the reason) and naturally he was searched as well. He was on strong pain medication at the time which he needed because of an injury and had prescription for. The problem was he forgot the letter from his doctor which stated that he needed to take the medicine and that he could still drive a car. So it quite some time to clear all of that up. Please excuse my terrible English as it isn't my native language.
I'm not saying its not an illness, though I have red eyes often, which is not due to illness (no sleep, rubbing, wind). I'm speaking more to how they came to the conclusion. Who can say what the cause is unless its a doctor or nurse maybe.
Yeah lol. My eyes were red, like really red Of coarse I said I wasn't high but they don't believe students who are accused of anything. Guilty until proven innocent. Doesn't help that most of the drugs kids were on at my school was pot
