Have you ever been conned on money?

Well. Share your story if such thing happened to you.
I was just conned for some 10 US dollars and it happened without me realizing.
Long story short - Got baited by low quality "luck" bait. Like just give some change and that's it. Then I was asked to take a paper bill to cover one of the coins. Then was some "ritual" and paper bill evaporated. Some distraction and sleight of hands and voila. I despise myself right now for getting caught this easy.
This lesson of life I learned the hard way.

Just last week Ai-chan was taking the train and an old auntie chatted with Ai-chan. Then she asked for 5 bucks, showing her empty wallet. Ai-chan gave it without question. Ai-chan is very weak to old people. Always imagined what if it was Ai-chan's mom or dad in such a situation and nobody willing to help them.

Same case last time Ai-chan was registering my company.

And Ai-chan always buys up the snacks sold by old aunties and uncles in front of banks or when peddling them to Ai-chan's at restaurants. Ai-chan doesn't do the same for youngsters. Or people with disabilities.

 

for some reason, its tempting to pick the third choice...

Me with old people, and there was that stupid case where I did a survey for free, it was not for free though, the auntie gave me a $15 voucher for food as a reward for doing the survey, but 5 minutes later came running back and say she did wrongly and wish that I give back the voucher. I did give back and was kicking my past self for being stupid cuz I wasted 30 minutes on the survey.

 

So you mean that you actually aren't a conman but by picking that option you trick others into believing that you are indeed a conman. That's some scheme you have going on

 

I believe there is nothing wrong in giving away food as long as you aren't forced. Hunger isn't the greatest experience in life afterall.

i live in a island and all the supermarket put a 300% increase in all the price but since we have no other choice we pay

 

On the positive note these 30 minutes weren't wasted because they gave you awareness of such situations.

 

I got conned when I'm still around 9 years old, I was so dumb at that time.

I had been always playing PS 2 with my friends back then, and two of them (which became my enemies) who's a bit older than me, colluding to take my Memory Card which contain a lot of important saved data. One of them take my MC when I'm not looking and run away to God only know where, and one of them pretend to be an innocent and try to take it back from him by persuading him with money, it's only around 1 dollar, but it's still important to me. I gave it to him and I take ny MC back.
The two sides is stupid, they didn't take that memory card away only for 1 dollar, as for me, I just believe in them like that (typical naive japanese MC). I just noticed about this after a few days, and learn that you should not trust others so easily.

It was the day after my mom past away, I went to registration department to register her death application. A man spoke to me and told me a story of his sick child. Ask for some money and I lend him RM 150 or around USD 35 and he said to come return in 1 hour. Wait for him for 5 hour and didn't return.

Once, I had a friend. He transferred into school recently, and he was nice. He borrowed money occasionally, and returned it while we had the numbers growing bigger. At one point, we reached 100$, and he kinda never payed it back....

 

Yup. Malaysian is weak against old people and people with sob stories

 

When I was in junior school there was a boy selling fake cd disks with PS 1 games. Like 15 in 1 but there were only 2-3 games and some were corrupted.
