I am now. Just wasted 6 hours reading and waiting for that satisfying payoff.
I was promised some fulfilling romance by someone but its just Garbage that barely has any romance development at all and MC is Gayer than a rattle snake(I'm joking but he's as balless as 99% of harem protagonists) then just found out even the ending is Ambiguous in terms of Harem ending.
To the person who recommended me that novel, I hate you.

Most Japanese novels come with progressively worse headaches that sneak up on you. Even If I see one rated at 4 or above, I struggle to find the desire to even start reading one, and I am always disappointed. Not since before all the good ones got licensed.

I'm pretty disappointed with Red Packet Server right now. Nothing like Cultivation Chat Group, MC is a hypocrite with a personality disorder, effectively brainwashes every female he meets with BS power.

    Everyone Else is a Returnee.

Keep in mind, it was good at the start. However, the author went from a single heroine to a harem. He even specifically said he wouldn't do harem! If I wanted to read harem, I would read harem! Also...the writing started degrading over the chapters. I eventually stopped at one of the chapters in 100-200.

Though I don't think I "regretted" reading any, I could say I was sorely disappointed in some of the novels along the way. MGA and ATG to name a few. The beginning was great, but then it went downslope for me. Oh, okay there was one "MC that fell in a dungeon came out, became op, etc" novel that I dropped immediately once the 2nd vol. had started. And it had good potential as well. All ruined :(

There have been a few novels I've stopped reading because I was bored or did not care much for where it was going, but there has been only one I have ever felt regret for having read. I was promised a good story with a lighthearted feel to it, and got neither. I honestly thought that <generic harem story> was better and have revised my opinion on other stories.

huh? Imo it become better after ch 150+ than in those early chapters

for me it would be Epoch of Twilight - it started nice then it went down into road "thats my woman (he already have few)" and "he is strong let's suck into him so he'll protect me"

I regret CSG and DME, which I dropped long ago. They both started off interesting, but quickly turned to shit, though I think DME's problems mostly came from trashy translation

If you has already start on the journey of reading novels, then you will of course find at least 1 disappointment that made you regret your decision along the way.
