News He-Man is back!

LMS got me into LN and then CD got me into Xianxia. I tried to read ST but that translation poaching happened. When that one guy took down his chapters they just happened to be the exact chapters I was on. Now I've dropped it indefinitely.

several month ago I only read manga or japanese novel and then when I read BTTH manga and someone said in chatbox I can read BTTH novel in wuxiaworld so I go to the site and I stumbled on xianxia/wuxia novels from Coiling dragon first, BTTH second and ST is the 3rd novel xianxia I read back then

 

ST is one of the few xianxia's i've dropped. Couldn't get into it at all, something just didn't seem to grab my attention. I'm sure it probably gets better later but I already read quite a bit in hope of it to still be bored hours later. I started reading JN LNs first before moving to wuxia/xianxia, and I believe CD was the first one I started.

 

He man contact ren in the wuxiaworld forum first and they exchange email with ren and now He man is the new translator for WW

 

I kind of dropped ST around the time thunder quit, and now I have no idea where I was up to.

 

Ok but who else is excited for He-Man's new translation?

 

Ive always been a faithfull manga reader.. there is this friend that says that he likes light novel, and along the way of listening how some of the ln have gone past anime or manga story, I began to develop curiosity and out of boredome I checked it out. And I was surprised how a novel isnt as bad or might be better than other media. Thus I began digging those japanese novel up.. and while checking sub links on translation website I happen to come accross spcnet. I was first reluctant to read them and only check people comments on it, which gets a lot of good feedbacks. He-man commented alot back then with his he-man old school cartoon avatar. And with curiosity, I checked his novel which is ST. I skimmed its index to find soo many translated chapter... for months or even years his release was really constant and I find a sense of dedication in it. I try reading it, and surprisingly enough Im hooked!! I read till the latest chapter in more than a week. The latest chapter back then have already been in other people's hand. And when the poaching continues, I decide to drop it. Then comes zhan long, CD, and lms.. now, I dont really read any manga anymore and hooked on novels instead. Lol

 

With He-man being back, I feel the appropriate way to celebrate is by listening to this

 

I am the same. Started with anime, moved to manga then moved on to japanese light novels and my friend kept telling me to read LMS and Coiling Dragon and I finally gave in several months later and I couldn't stop. I only noticed this thread after grabbing the ATG link then saw the previous post and then had to jump back to see if anyone else noticed.....

 

for me, I was a hardcore manga reader for a long time, came across the xian ni manga, then I read the light novel version of xian ni. after that, it was CD, the DD, the a bunch of others

On a side note, to celebrate he-man's return, Iv'e been listening to http://heyyeyaaeyaaaeyaeyaa.com/ all night

 

I was reading LMS and it's copies plus fanfiction, then The Gamer and somehow ended up on ST just when master He-Man went into closed door training, so yeah ST is my first xianxia/wuxia

To think he man is back. His translation of ST was my very first xianxia novel. I got hooked after reading the first book. Because of him xianxia culture has boomed. I thank him for this

 

well damn thats great news. if not for he-man, xianxia may not have become as popular as it is. i respect all translators, but ren and he-man are one of the few i would want my sister to have kids with, haha.

If not for CD being on Bakatsuki, i may not have ever discovered xianxia. If not for ST I may not have become so hooked as i have on the genre.

Well, this made my day. lets all celebrate shall we? i'll bring the alcohol, whose gonna take care of the pot?

Coiling Dragon is my 1st CN

 

He-Mans translation on ST is probably the only Chinese work translation i read more than 3 volumes. It was so well translated and at that time my Chinese skillz weren't the best (not good enough to read chapter in 2-10 mins) Glad to see him start working again
