Considering MC just went from 6 jewels to 9 jewels in a couple of chapters... eh you can tell that ending is coming up not too far into the distance. Plot-wise is pretty much filler and boring af, but power-level wise it's about as rushed as it gets
That's the thing. It's like we're time-skipping crazily with these recent powerups, yet TJSS continues to drown us in Saint Energy lore and comparisons instead of condensing this into a few chapters. This whole luster island arc has been a snooze.
I think that It is just a way to skip to super OP cheat level power for MC. He just jumped what, 2 whole jewels? It feels like a long shortcut if that makes any sense, drag on the arc so we don't have to do a level up time lapse.
I'm at least grateful that the combat in this novel isn't as wordy as Shen Yin Wang Zuo. There, I often feel like I'm reading the action log of a VRMMO novel.
Hm, I prefer HJC. Let's get the important comparisons out of the way: 1. No harem, protagonist is severely devoted to his one waifu. Their affection for each other borders on yandere levels though. 2. Think of a young knight templar with a messiah complex who can do no wrong. That's your MC. 3. Black and white morality. There are some likable people on the side of the enemies, but as a whole the only conflict in the story is the strength of their enemies. 4. Combat, as I mentioned, can be absurdly dragged out. Think of the skills being thrown around in HJC. Now imagine a party of seven all fighting at the same time, with every member's actions getting described. The worst is that it's pretty much just calling out the skill names rather than the intricate, clever use of combat in HJC's tournament arcs. That said, I was able to last almost 600 chapters on it, so it's definitely worth a read if you're bored.
