Still no news. I guess something came up. Sure would be nice to know whats going on. Would be better to have an answer rather than all the expectation of the series maybe coming back.
Btw, I read this about 3/4’s through. How was the ending in general? Satisfying/incomplete, etc.? No detailed spoilers are necessary.
Kind of forgettable... author sort of hits the fast forward button and many things that would have been more interesting spaced out and fleshed out happen all at once. slight spoiler: despite the series title HJC is not achieved in the series.
i gave up .... i feel like starting qidian HJC won't be a bad idea, as some people said earlier chapters were shit but later they get better, i can't keep waiting for months without any information .... dafuq .. i just hope i will finish it on wuxiaworld tho as started it on it .....+ should be better quality, but quality doesn't matter if it doesn't ever come, does it? think about it ....
If it comes to that then id rather just leave the novel unfinished. At this point i just want to know whats going on. How anyone can be completely silent for months after making announcements about upcoming announcements is fucking beyond me.
i like completing things, ill just skim over it to get the gist of the story and get done with it ...... but yet i am waiting as i want to complete it for real as in reading and not skim over it ... but .... how?
New chapter from Zen, I'd recommend reading it. That being said, it has been a long time that I almost forgot everything, but it's okay I guess, I can just re-read it. I really don't like this Saint Energy thing, it makes everything and every skill that Zhou Weiqing have useless, sad.

You dont get to put that on other people. If he had made any effort to talk to his readers then maybe people would not have been so pissed. Instead he released chapters slower and slower, whilst everyone got more and more pissed at the release speed, and lack of any communication. Were people jerks? Sure. How easy would it have been to avoid? Very, with some simple announcements. But na, guess it makes you feel high & mighty to pin it on the readers, when not even Ren is doing that.
communication is hard enough normally, and with his mounting depression and the increasing toxicity i'm not surprised zen just shut down :| another point, as rwx mentioned, was that announcing stuff to the readers would intrude on the translator's privacy, i mean i doubt you'd like everyone to know that you're suffering from crippling depression and mental health problems; and there's much less incentive to do that if the viewerbase is already showering you with toxic comments
Nobody asked for his life story. A simple "sorry, am having a bad time. Releases will be slow until i feel better. Thank you for the positive comments". Instead, every chapter had an "enjoy~". Ren decided to announce a big push to finish the novel, when that didnt pan out, we once again got silence. In the end, i only found a vague comment in another random HJC thread regarding Ren dealing with a loss in the family. Tragic, of course, but also not really the place i want him to be announcing things like that when he apparently cannot find the time to make an announcement regarding HJC. It took 3 months to get THIS announcement.
