Because of censorship, the donghua had officially changed Hua Chen's title "鬼王 (Guǐ Wáng, Ghost King)" to "诡王 (Guǐ Wáng, Trickster King)". Sad... I can't even imagine have much censorship would the drama adaptation be facing.
I don't know if this was already asked (I'm going to put the question in a spoiler tab so others who are here who only wish to know some parts but don't want a super big revelation won't see it) Spoiler If Jun Wu is White No-face, then why did he have to posses and devour that little spirit Lang Ying???? He didn't really need to do that right cause he was just faking his weakness??? Did he do that so his acting can be more convincing or just to poke some wounds for Xie Lan??? Does this mean little spirit Lang Ying's death to help Xie Lan's enemy get stronger and avenge his uncle was futile???
This blog sort of talks about it. https://nyerus.tumblr.com/post/620736170139238400/hello-good-day-its-been-about-a-year-now-after
Hello guys! I’m new to this thread and I’m currently in book 3. I know that maybe my questioned had been raised by some of you in this thread and has been already answered but I don’t have the initiative to find it in these 61 pages. So I’m gonna repeat it, Did Xie Lian ever learned that Hua Cheng is the guy he saved before his first ascension and did he ever learned what Hua Cheng experienced before reaching his position as a Ghost King? Thank you
XL will eventually learn that HC was the boy he saved. The experience JC had before becoming the ghost king was touched on and you are given some things but still left vague. It's also broken up. You get bits and pieces throughout the story which felt unsatisfying to me. A friend and I really wish we would have gotten some real details about it. What we learned just wasn't enough.
