Discussion Hell and Reincarnation

In some religions you go to hell if you don't believe in said Religion. But if that were the case a lot of People would go to hell..

If we consider that there is a hell judging solely on sins, what is it like there and do you have to do some really bad things like you know killing lots of stuff?

And if you get reincarnated would you get reincarnated into our world or into other realms like the buddhists believe?
Because it would kinda suck to be on Earth in a couple hundred years tbh

 

So people used to say (For Catholics, I believe) that suicide was the worst possible sin, because there was no way to ask for forgiveness afterwards, or something like that.

 

Ehhh reincarnation versus hell/heaven is just your old reward/punishment scheme that there is something after. I mean you live bad you get worse or much worse reincarnation or get hell of some level. It is just diffrent idea around the same concept. Seriously though wasting your life on pure power climb is not for me.

 

I think it was more to commit suicide is to murder yourself, so someone who commits suicide is as sinful as a murderer.

I think it depends on your faith, whether a majority of the world is going to hell or going to heaven.

For the ones that say a lot of people are going to hell, hell is usually subdivided depending on people's sins I think. Like the Hell in Dante's inferno had multiple different levels.

I thought Buddhism was about removing yourself from the cycle of reincarnation...

 

Maybe if you kill enough sinners in hell and become the top dog you can get promoted to hell commander.
I don't care if reincarnation is real or not, but if it does then help me god i better be in a world where vrmmo is real.

 

How about a suicide with a slow death? As in
"I want to die" *Cuts vein* "Oh lord, I hope you forgive me"

 

You know, this reminds me of some short manga where a guy helps a girl try to find the weight of a soul in order to reach the highest heaven. However, no one was able to get there, so it closed down and heaven was moved to the lowest level. It was weird...

I don't know about whether in Buddhism you can reincarnate to worlds other than Earth without reaching Nirvana, but not all Buddhists reach enlightenment

 

I read some research, scientists said afterlife might be possible ('might be' because nobody knows if their belief is real unless they die) due to some statements from people who experience near-death. These people statements has some few variations saying the moment they are near-death they saw either Jesus Christ, buddha, angels or other celestial beings and the similarity is seeing a pillar of light calling their soul and having a out-of-the-body experience.


This is so creepy. It worsens my fear of death.

 

Actually many scientists theorizes that the "white light" is the brain suffering from lack of oxygen, and that all the others are hallucinations.

In reality though we have no way of knowing anything about the afterlife, unless gods or angels descend and tell us about it on camera, which I find unlikely.

 

I also read a lot of testemonies of hell and People who did some bad deeds and were dead or nearly dead for minutes. What half of them had in common was Sulfur/burned flesh stench and love is nowhere to be found, aka only Thing you feel is hate, sufferness and pain.
Some awoke after their experience and died shortly after pretty sick.

There are 2 possibilities, either there is hell or there is not. And i'd rather go with there is and fear it than to not fear it and regret it if there is.

 

Why? It might be fun in a hundred years, and do you really wanna go to a planet that might not even have TOILET PAPER? Or PORN? Now THAT'S hell, right there. Itchy, dirty ass and gotta use imaination to masturbate. No thank you, dont wanna take those chances.

 

Because the only fun Thing later will be visual reality porn, whereas social interactions and nature will be kaboom
