Ooh, gunpla~! I don't collect, but my friend built an RPG for us based on that Gundam gunpla fighter anime. Do you have a lot of models?

 

WOW, a gundam build fighter RPG ? That is so cool , i want to see it . I do have a lot, though most of them are backlogs.

 

It's unfortunately a D&D style game (without the dice and rules), and not a program. She designed it very well, though - it was one of my favourites.
The plot was centred around the teenage son of the missing World Champion, who could build pretty much the best fighter gunpla in the world but didn't have the skill of his father in fighting with them. His dream was to become the World Champions with his school team and find out what happened to his father.
My character was a boy who'd just moved over from India. His only interest was ballet, and he oddly specialised in feminine dancing (en pointe and graceful movements, rather than emphasising strength). But because he developed a crush on the champion's son, he fought his bully in a gunpla match and turned out to be very good, so the champion's son sweet-talked him into joining the team.
It's too bad we didn't get very far with the plot. The romance was blossoming nicely, but we'd only just passed the regionals. My friend kept hinting that there was all sorts of magic connected with the gunpla fighting and that her character's father had been taken to a different world. We weren't due to get into that part of the plot until we hit the international stage, though.

Do you mean you have the kits but haven't put them together yet?

 

wow, sounds interesting. the plot kind of similar with the anime, makes me want to play it. what happened to the plot? or you guys just move on to other games ?

generally speaking yes and no, i tend to customize my kit, either paint and kitbash it with other kits, getting the idea and inspiration to come and then putting it together, usually cost me around 1-2 months for 1 kit. and i have a bad habit of buying another kit while in the middle of building one, and overtime it got worse with having no projects and a bulk of backlogs yet buying more kits because i like their design or for new idea purpose instead of building my backlogs. in the end, i've a lot of finished gunpla but also a lot of unfinished ones, it's a never ending cycle .

I like drama, action, and romcom genres. Currently reading the gamer, wintermoon, and girls of the wild.. solo leveling is also good, but I'm waiting for more chapters to read. Do you read webtoon, Moonpearl?

 

We have a ton of games, some based on anime, some not. It took us a long time of playing to get the regionals, so I think we did our usual of losing our enthusiasm, taking a break to play other games, and then just never going back. The gunpla game is too old for us to pick up where we left off now.
We'll probably remake it in the future, when we get the mood for it. Games get better every time we remake them, so maybe it will be well-loved enough to survive time decay if we do.

Ah, I see~! How many finished ones do you have?

I read more webcomics than I do webtoons - I'm currently following "Prince and the Swan", "Novae", and "Lovespells". I'm following "Mage & Demon Queen" on Webtoons, though~!

I think I've been meaning to read "Winter Moon". The author of "Mage & Demon Queen" does crossover art with it sometimes, I think~! Is it good?

 

i feel that. the same cycle also happens to me and my friends, having so many games to play, playing the new game with enthusiasm and then taking a break yet never going back.
i'm looking forward to the remake version of the game ~

err...just over 20-30 kits, never bother counting them, right now my room is low on space so im slowing down my build speed till i buy new show cases.

I read Novae once when it was pride month and webtoons advertised many BL works. The art was great, sadly not rly my cup of tea..
As your title said, I guess you also read Mage and Demon Queen. Welp, I saw those crossover art on twitter, that Malori and Florence drawing
At first, I thought Winter Moon was all comedy and MMORPG fun stuffs, but the story is pretty good so far. You might stay for the characters quirks ~
