What do the words in red mean? Thanks for your time
A guess? Someone tried helping/harming someone and then got harmed instead? I asked someone who actually is proficient in Chinese, but he said the context you gave wasn't enough almost... more afterwards maybe. Also, Google Translate says keng as a verb is to defraud... Also, I asked someone else about the first highlighted set of words and they said it wasn't a real word.... uh.... sorry for not being of great help...
准道侣 = "soon to be" dao companion, or fiance, depends if you want to use dao companion or bride/groom 他还坑了=he even dug himself deeper. or something along those lines. refering to your self deeper into a hole/problem.
like your special someone. that's what i'm getting out of this. The protagonist(main male guy) has a spouse. But this spouse is a piece of shyt, he cheats on his with girls he has a fancy to blah blah blah. and then, i think it can mean like plagiarism or something. He stole his work. but i have no idea.
The words '挖坑' in the book I am translating refer to a) cliffhangers or b) plot holes. Then there's just plain old trolling. I think in this context it means he dropped the book so even he didn't know how it would go towards the end lol
