I've been trying to find it for weeks but can't. I know it was made because I saw it before and really liked it. Hint: IT IS NOT Umi no Yami ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anime/movie is based on the manga Umi no Misaki. is about a high school sophomore from Tokyo, Nagi Goto. He comes to Okitsushima to see the birthplace of his mother, and soon becomes a resident of the island. His father is currently stuck in New York for work, so Nagi is forced to live on his own. While attending the secret Dragon God Festival held once a year, he is informed that he is the latest reincarnation of the Dragon God. Nagi was young when his mother died, and as a result had shown a tough, outer exterior at school, but he soon discovered that he wasn't having any fun, and vowed to start acting more spontaneously, which has led to the personality he has. He is kind and considerate but finds himself overwhelmed with the idea of being the Dragon God. He takes the time to learn more about his role, and about the Cape Maidens, and as a result of his actions, he starts to gain their trust, as well as their affections. He is a hard worker, as evidenced when he asks Shizuku to help him study, so he can catch up to the other students on the island and is very good at cooking, as his cooking is regularly praised by the maidens. I know it exists. I've seen it. Loved it.
Yeah, wtf? You only wrote about Umi no Misaki, never about what the anime you are looking for is. Not even one single hint. You didn't even say, it's about an anime like Umi no Misaki, so how do you expect someone to help you? The way you do this is, you write everything you remember about the anime you watched and hope someone knows it. You simply wrote about a manga that you clearly said is not what you are looking for... wtf?
Maybe an illusion? Sometime people do misremember some stuffs. This isn't the first time that someone think that an anime adaptation exist when it doesn't. Some people have strong imagination when reading a manga. Or maybe this is another anime for example nagasarete airantou or others and you mixed them up.
It's like that tentacle Demon God porno. There's a series of it and be warned, it has NTR in context. Though, it may not show in the tags, visual novels like this tend to have the bad ending adaptations.
You probably mixed up with another anime then. No matter how rare is the anime/oav, it should still be recorded in some anime database website. Moreover Umi no Misaki's manga is first published in 2007 thus this is really 'recent'. Unlike before 2000, the probability to lost data about an anime is low nowadays.
