    His/her calm and collected eyes didn’t have the slightest emotion. They were as cold as the dark green, serene lake.

    The 碧绿 in the original sentence was directed at the person's irises, meaning the person had green eyes, not the lake that was green, but I suppose it's not much of a difference...
