Heroic Death System (英勇赴死系统) So i was looking through @winter-t 's awesome rec list and i came across this one Tragedy, tissues and world hopping ftw!!! After getting cursed and pushed into a car accident, MC becomes bound to a System and is told that if he completes enough missions in various worlds, he’ll be given a chance to return to his original world and live again. The catch: he must complete each mission as befitting of a heroic martyr. Tragedy.... /stares very hard at the word On the scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most heartbreaking, where does this story falls into?
Oh, this one I already started doing lol. I've mentioned it quite a few times in discord? This is just sad tragedies and not angst. MC also has the chance to go back to those worlds and live a happy life. I've reread this quite a few times It's HE http://snowycodex.com/translations/novels/hds/ I'm quite prepared. Just learned my lesson and stacking chapters... First world is scifi, mc is a prisoner taken from ml's side. The enemy thought he had useful info but he didn't. System told mc this was a beginner mission and it can be completed even by just sitting there. So all he had to do was sit there, take the pain and system also gave a perfect expression packet lol. System also gave a decrease pain by half so when they started using pain implifiers, mc showed nothing and said nothing. A lot of people became convinced he had important info and very impressed with his will. This goes on for a bit, and his final words were that their (enemy's) leader will die. They were his final words because after that, he was saved but his body is so messed up he could barely move, much less talk. Ml saw how he was tortured the whole time and was attracted by his will and wanted to take good care of him (he's not at the point it's love quite yet). MC's father was someone important but he' dead and there was another adopted son that wanted mc to die so he could get the honors and stuff. Stuck some kind of drug into mc but since he couldn't talk he couldn't point out who. Though that guy did get caught by ml later and told him if he belived mc taking 10x worth of torture was nothing, why don't he take that kind of pain and if he could, he'll give him honors. Step brother pled mercy after just a while at 5x lol. The fluffiness in this is how ml keeps taking care of mc~ feeding him, visiting him everyday despite a lot of work as the new king. Mc and the system is hilarious because he keeps talking back about the types of mission that the system releases. Mc died by forcing his body to move to block an assassination attempt on ml while at a ceremony. Because MC's father was dead, he had to be there for it.
One of my fav arc is when mc has a mask and was a god. Since his face is always expressionless, his mask is the one that gives away his feelings in the form of emojis though that's very far in the novel. Mc can't take it off though so he' always annoyed at how the mask gives away his feeling. ML can take it off and looks at his perfectly expressionless face, then moved the mask back on his face and it shows a stunned emoji
Alright, I spoiled enough for the general flavor. Getting back to digging into it... Er, I think it's around 20 arcs, some of going back and living a happy life in the worlds mc was successfull in. arc 2 is modern world, arc 3 is..... how to describe it.... reminds me of the plot in rpg where heroes go and defeat the demon king (not a demon king though, sealing something instead) and stuff.... ancient supernatural?
Debating a whole arc for about 2 arcs for people to get the flavor of it... Since people so wary of #Tragedy tag lol
For world hopping its best to release the whole arc at once, i would wait for the next one even if its 1-2 months X'D or at least 3!
