If humans could hibernate, would you? Why, how and how long do you like your hibernation to be? Should there be a pre-hibernation and post-hibernation celebration? What if hibernation is a requirement due to some inexplicable supernatural reason, what kind of world do you imagine that to be? ...Yes, I admit I'm thinking about sleep too much lately. Anyway, lemme share my two nuffies here. Personally, i think hibernation would be interesting. But not the act itself but what happens afterwards. Every time i wake up after falling asleep, i feel a little disoriented. I call it time travel sometimes haha. I mean, my consciousness travel to the future since I don't recall dreams easily. The night is a huge blank for me. So what if sleep lasted more than a night? What if you wake up, months or years after? It's like waking up from a coma and the world has changed. Now, let's say there's a systematic way of dealing with long sleep, aka hibernation. There would be facilities that cater you before, during and after hibernation. Would there be less confusion? Or is it still mind-boggling? What if you entered hibernation to escape your current circumstances, would the system annoy the heck out of you?
While implementation of such a system would cause less confusion, you would likely still wake up disorientated. If when you wrote, "escape your current circumstances," and one of those "circumstances" happens to be debt, you aren't going to escape into hibernation. You are going to be forced into hibernation.
Won't waking up during summer nice? You would have shed the excess fat and get the nice beach bod by the time you wake up from hibernation! Can...I have harmless hibernation? Plus, I'm pretty sure that there would also be illegal type of hibernation to pop up like mushrooms when such a system is in place? what do you think?
I'd hibernate through May, my exam month~ Like, oops, gotta miss the exams, but there's no helping it~ I think I'd like staying in dreamworld for a month, it'd be a nice experience~
Alternative systems would likely exist, though if the service is affordable (or free) and enough to satisfy all demand, it is not likely that many, if any, would appear.
Would rather go through suspended animation or have a hibernation that has a suspended animation like effect.
Not for me, my body all will shrivel along with my muscle mass. I'll really be not even a walking skeleton by then. Otherwise, yes. A good nap is always nice no matter how long
