My memory of this is a bit vague so some details might be a bit off but there was this general guy and his male wife but the general didn't like the male wife which was forced on him. he favored this other consort and the main male wife was basically neglected. some situation happened and the general became targeted and while his consort abandoned him, the male wife helped to protect the general and got shot. the general tried to run away with his male wife, but they ended up dying and the general transmigrated back to the day after their wedding night and vowed to treat his male wife better. he was initially really rough with the male wife on their wedding night but after he was reborn he was very pampering and tried to woo the male wife and get back in his good graces.
