I don't know if it was a parody of a specific novel; the tag is likely just referring to the first part of the novel where Yan Zhaoge fights against all the MC-type guys who were basically just archetypes of other xianxia protagonists and their cheats.

Yes the MC of this is op as hell but his cultivation method has downsides, like taking more time and having to scavenge legacies, at one point not finding the manual he needed and he had to reverse engineering it for three years.

At least there is no system and the MC previous life knowledge has shown limits once in the World Beyond Worlds.

That said, his father is more OP that him using far fewer resources and cultivation manuals. Only with less control of his power levels. And his mother while having a much lower cultivation is more cunning that a several millennia old kitsune.

And even then the original body owner ended just being rival cannon folder.

So yeah while he has luck he does work hard too.

I just read chapters 800 - 900 and one thing that bothered me to the extreme is the word STILL. I can understand that the translator is getting really horny because of this word but please could you spare the readers... i nearly went insane!!!
