Them is the rules, apparently. I thought it was always that new translators wouldnt be shown on NU unless they were 50 chapters ahead/behind the original group, but apparently not. I made a feature request so that at the very least we can hide them from out reading list, as i personally do not want to keep seeing "new chapters" for a translation i do not read. QI hate aside, i want a nice clean reading list.

 

Well, damn.

 

NU will have to host a 'translated' chapter if this chapter contains enough editing when compared to an actual MTL. No matter how bad QI releases are, they still meet this.
The issue has escalated, and frankly, no matter how neutral NU wants to be, it cannot.
@Tony how about that requested feature, where you can permanently ban the releases of a particular group for a particular series? Or better yet, for any and all series, no matter if they are in the reading lists?

 

I'm actually so happy that Qidian picked this up. The translation has been plagued by hiatuses and delays, a sprint to the end is 2 chapters a day? LUL

Much happier to see a (more) professional team on the job, the story was getting completely destroyed by the terrible pacing which left you on cliff hangers for days on end. The author spent chapters to build a climax that is simply ruined because the translator stalls for 3 days and by the time the chapter finally gets released it feels so anti-climatic because all the tension has dissipated.

Hopefully we can see a more reliable translation this time!

I really like Zen, he's a great translator. Naturally, translators just can't keep their lives out of their translation schedules, so of course there will be times where said schedule is affected. Zen is already doing his best to catch up, and now that I see QI's releases, I feel poor Zen's hard work at trying to make it up to the readers was wasted. Moreover, I don't even think they bothered to contact him. I'm fine with QI overall, but this one touches on my bottom line for respect. To not even give the current translator any consideration and hire new translators to take it over while it is still being translated by its current translator, that's borderline egoistic.

 

It better if Qidian is Ahead of Wuxia. That make wuxia step up their lazy ass and produce the readers more chapters, Competition is always good it always give the most benefits to the consumers in this case us readers

They are not wrong. Zen did go MIA for a long time and a lot of people were not happy with it, mostly because of the lack of updates. However i do not think that suddenly justifies QI using an excuse to poach a novel. If they think things are better with QI around then i have no idea what to say.

Zen Had more than enough chances he speed was slow af 1-2 chpt a week on a popular novel. than he disappeared for months
without saying anything. that why Qidian step up and took over this project cause they felt it a popular novel and can make them $$ which i'm glad they did because without them Wuxia won't step up their game and help Zen with the translation for heavenly jewel change. Overall this competition between them is giving us readers a lot more chapters than we ever had before. Qidian has also been ahead of translating compared to wuxia these last few days which hopefully Wuxia respond and give us more.

P.S I Couldn't Care less which website upload the chapters as long as there more chapters overall I be happy.
