Feature Request How about an Artwork Page on NUF?

How about an Artwork Page here, where we can't post some really good artworks for all to admire?
We'd need to pin it just like Daily laughs?
How about it?

NUF have unofficial discord servers...
And an artwork page....why not.

 

Usually I just go on Pixiv if I want to look at cute photos. But I guess it wouldn’t be that bad to have some photos here.

 

There are some scattered threads here( mostly dead) but yes a dedicated thread is needed.
Btw that second picture is really good.

 

Still a pinned one would be a lot better, also in General Chat.

Anyway, my point is people are just going to spam the thread and many will never credit the artists and really the thread will be pointless. In the end, it's just gonna be a place for spamming without consequences. Once the thread reach certain number of pages, most of the arts just gonna be reposted and no one will see the previous post. This place wasn't designed to be a place where you can easily search for the particular things you want. You'll need to go through each post one by one, and let's be real, no one does it.

If it's something the users make themselves, I absolutely support it. But if it's copy paste from other places? I absolutely disagree.

For an easy example, just look at Daily Laughs in General Chat. Remember the guideline on the very first post, 1 picture per post only. But what did you get after 100 pages? You can see yourself. Videos, not-funny tear jerkers, chatter and almost (maybe more?) 20 pictures in one post. That's not even adding repeat posts or images already posted previously.

What this will do is just going to make another Daily Laughs. Unlike Daily Laughs, this will degrade even faster as Daily Laughs has the focus of making you laugh. This is a catch-all 'artwork that I love'. You just know people will forget what it's for quickly and put up comics they like or other stuff despite clearly being told not to in the first post.

4chan works differently. People can put any kind of images there they want, and they can put as many images as they want without consequences because it doesn't matter. The system itself encourages you to keep posting stuff or your thread will disappear completely. In 4chan, at certain point the stuff you posted are taken off and you can't access it again (except maybe if you have the direct url). Therefore, repeat posts or copies or copies are not a problem. This request also involves pinning it at the top.

 

Going with the them of NU and gonna say yes.
